Hearing Dogs York Charity Event
Hearing dogs transform lives by alerting deaf people to important sounds like doorbells, alarms, and phones—bringing confidence, independence, and companionship. Our charity day is a chance to raise awareness of their incredible work, celebrate these amazing dogs, and help fund the training and support that makes these life-changing partnerships possible.
We’re delighted to be supporting Hearing Dogs for Deaf People with an informative, fun day hosted by Richard Cantrell.
Join us at Poppleton Tithe Barn and find out the amazing support Hearing Dogs give to their deaf partners.
The events starts at 1:45pm with a charity dog walk along Poppleton Ings. Everyone is welcome, with or without a dog. The walk takes about 45 minutes, and the first 50 will receive a doggy bag of goodies.
There is a suggested donation of £10 for adults, with dogs and children free.
Following the walk, at the Tithe Barn, from 2-4pm, we would love you to join us for a cuppa and homemade cakes, and meet the fabulous Hearing Dogs in training.
There will be a chance to chat to volunteers, and meet deaf partnerships, and find out more about volunteering opportunities.
At 3:30pm there will be a Hearing Dog demonstration, showcasing the dogs in action.
Every donation, conversation, and show of support helps make a real difference. Thank you for helping us support hearing dogs and the people who rely on them.
