The Poppleton Tithe Barn is a registered charity (Charity No. 1060767), cared for by a dedicated group of Trustees and supported by the Friends of the Tithe Barn. Together, they work to preserve this remarkable historic building and ensure it remains at the heart of village life.
The charity’s aim is to safeguard the Barn for future generations and to make it available for community use — from art exhibitions, meetings, and local performances to celebratory gatherings, wedding breakfasts, and civic events such as elections.
In keeping with these aims, the Trustees also organise a range of fundraising events throughout the year — including the Christmas Fair, Burns Night, wine tastings, and yard sales — where the invaluable help of the Friends of Poppleton Tithe Barn plays a vital role.
Their continued support ensures this much-loved building remains both a living part of Poppleton’s heritage and a welcoming space for the community it serves.
