Every winter, one of our favourite gatherings fills the barn with the scent of fresh pine and the quiet buzz of people making something beautiful. Local resident Vixy Frazer holds her ever-popular Christmas wreath workshop and demo here at the Tithe Barn, and, as always, it has sold out. Around tables piled high with fresh evergreens, berries and ribbon, guests spend a happy morning crafting a wreath of their very own to hang on the door at Christmas, with tea, coffee and cake to keep spirits high, and every ticket raising money for Yorkshire Cancer Research (Galtres Committee). It is community, creativity and kindness all in one room, and it is exactly the sort of gathering the barn was made for.
